Background
Supervision is one of the most critical aspects of aquatic safety, yet it is also one of the most complex. Lifeguards must balance scanning, customer service, and emergency readiness across large and busy facilities. A dedicated risk assessment ensures supervision systems are designed and resourced to give lifeguards the best chance of preventing incidents.

Service Overview
Royal Life Saving’s Supervision Risk Assessments focus on how lifeguards and staff monitor patron safety. Assessments examine staffing levels, positioning, supervision zones, blind spots, and rostering to ensure compliance with the GSPO and alignment with best practice.
By mapping supervision coverage and assessing real-world conditions, facilities receive a clear picture of their supervision strengths and vulnerabilities. This enables targeted improvements that support both lifeguards and management in maintaining safe aquatic environments.
