ROYAL LIFE SAVING


This online training course provides essential knowledge and practical learning experiences to support your role as an Aquatic Duty Manager. It introduces the tasks, skills, and leadership qualities required to ensure the safety of visitors to your centre while guiding and enabling a high-performing lifeguard team.
Key content includes:
Supervision and risk management
Planning and implementing supervision
Leading and managing your lifeguard team
Preparing for and responding to emergencies
Conducting training simulations

This course is designed for aspiring or current Aquatic Duty Managers who want to build confidence in supervision, risk management, and leading lifeguard teams. It is also suitable for lifeguards seeking to progress their career into supervisory or management roles within aquatic centres.
This is a self-paced online training course, allowing participants to complete the modules at their own convenience.
There are no formal entry requirements. However, to gain the most benefit from this training, it is recommended that learners have:
A minimum of Level 1 literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
Previous aquatic industry experience, such as completion of the Pool Lifeguard skill set.
Minimum age: 17 years, or turning 18 in the calendar year in which the course is undertaken.
- Assessment is completed online through interactive learning modules and activities. Learners are required to engage with all course content to demonstrate understanding of the skills and knowledge required of a Duty Manager.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion.
