Introduction
DRSABCD is a structured action plan used in first aid to guide the response to life-threatening situations. It stands for Danger, Response, Send for help, Airway, Breathing, CPR, and Defibrillation. This approach ensures that critical steps are followed in the correct order to maximise the chances of survival. Understanding DRSABCD is central to all emergency first aid training and response.

What you should do?
Follow DRSABCD
Check for Danger (to you, others, casualty)
Check Response (talk, squeeze shoulders)
Send for help (call 000)
Open and clear Airway
Check Breathing (look, listen, feel)
Begin CPR (30 compressions: 2 breaths) if not breathing normally
Apply Defibrillator (AED) as soon as available
