PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Description
Hands on Heroes is a practical and engaging CPR and emergency response program designed to give Stage 3 primary school students the confidence and skills to help in an emergency.
Through hands-on learning, students are introduced to the DRSABCD emergency response sequence and learn how to recognise an emergency, call for help and perform CPR. Using CPR training manikins and interactive activities, students have the opportunity to practise important lifesaving skills in a safe and supportive environment.
More than just a CPR lesson, Hands on Heroes encourages students to become young lifesaving leaders. The program builds confidence, communication, responsibility and leadership skills, empowering students to share what they have learnt with their peers, families and wider community.
